Starting at 7 tons, the A7 VOR 350 EM splitter can be used vertically or horizontally to split logs up to 42 cm with no limit on diameter (within reason). Perfect for domestic use for log burners, pizza ovens etc… Our domestic/semi-pro range goes up to 13 tons with the BR range.
Balfor’s PRO vertical range offers models from 13-35 tons. These PRO Spec splitters come with log pick, chainsaw holders and have height adjustable cylinders (rams) to make transport and storage more simple. Pipes are lined with anti-sheer metal mesh for extra protection. Power options of single or 3-phase electric, tractor PTO, petrol, and tractor hydraulics we can even offer dual power source combinations of single-phase/PTO or 3-phase/PTO.

ROAD LEGAL
Balfor also offer fully road legal towable splitters from 13 - 22 tons in their PRO range.
For professional use, Balfor’s PRO horizontal splitters make splitting oversized timber and arb waste easy. With models from 22 to 45 tons, their standard models of PRO horizontal splitters come with a hydraulic side loader, hydraulically adjustable 2-4 way knife with folding log table and a retractable ram for easy storage and transportation. There is also the option of 6 or 8-way knives on 35-45 ton models. The 2-speed splitting makes for a fast cycle time. The cylinder return is performed by locking the levers in a return position so you can cycle from any point. The ram is fully retractable for easy transportation, making the machine more compact.
Balfor Pro 35 splitter.
These machines are available in three-phase electric, tractor PTO or a combination of both. The 22-ton splitter only needs a 45 Hp tractor to run from. The standard 35-ton model requires 80Hp, and the 45-ton model requires 90Hp. However, we can add a low-power PTO Kit allowing these models to run off a 50Hp tractor if needed.
The ram and bed lengths can be extended to either 2.1m or 2.6m with an axle and lighting board as optional extras. You can also have these extended models with or without side loaders. They can be fitted with Remote Control if you need to split whilst operating a forwarder or on a crane.
